Every gardener is familiar with the wonderful sense of well-being that comes from spending time in the fresh air, surrounded by nature, caring to their plants.

Working the soil seems to improve one's mood and lessen feelings of worry in addition to the obvious physical advantages that come with modest lifting, bending, and stretching.

At the very least, it has been my experience as a gardener, as well as the experience of other gardeners with whom I've talked.
